Rules for Life

everything is hard before it’s easy

never promise what you cannot keep

everything is relative and there are infinite directions of infinite change, rather than just three dimensions

punishment without restitution teaches evasion
restitution without forgiveness teaches despair
both together teach restraint

act only where responsibility is real, and refuse every role that requires you to deny it

systems don’t change because they’re argued with,
they change because someone keeps acting as if truth, responsibility, and repair are non-negotiable

forgiveness only has meaning if it can be withheld without penalty
